Animated history of publishing houses for Chytomo
Description:
Literary media Chytomo created the project “To Print!” about the iconic publishing centers that operated in Ukraine from the beginning of book publishing to the era of independence. The project tells the story of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra printing house, the Hrushevsky and Franko publishing company, and a Ukrainian bookstore in New York.
Animated videos became a way to make these stories more engaging and dynamic. Pryvit/production team created these videos, infusing historical facts with humor and a bit of suspense.
Tasks:
- Developing scripts based on research articles;
- selecting visual materials, including working with archival images;
- selection of a voice actor and recording of the voiceover;
- creating collage animation.
Results:
10 animated videos that accompanied the articles on the Chytomo website and were shown on the Intercity, Suspilne.Regions, and in Ukrainian museums.
